Bethsaida means a place of friendship, nests, healing, and sanctuary. A charitable institution owns Bethsaida Hermitage (an Eco Friendly Ayurvedic Beach Resort) and income from this most beautiful place is directed towards most of our charitable activities.
The institution runs an orphanage offering home and education to over 600 boys and girls, parenting 2000 children in the villages, provides employment for young women from poorest families, conducts retreats and counseling.
Guests staying here need never know of the of the institutions existence (as there are 20 acres of land) however anyone who is interested need only take a short walk around the grounds and they will soon find a varieties of activities going on including: weaving and coir carpet making-
The young women doing the weaving and coir carpet are not only learning how to run a business, The income earned is directly used for their dowry for the marriage.

There are many other projects in the pipeline. If you care about the environment and the local people, be here now at this paradise.
With its fine golden sand, is in a small bay between two rocky headlands exclusively belonging to Bethsaida. Few tourists find their to way to this beach. As a part of the Bethsaida's eco friendly policy the few traditional people continue their activities at the beach. Bethsaida provides a lifeguard, beach umbrellas and mats for specific needs.
