At the Motty's Heritage Residence you have the opportunity to visit and stay with the host in a traditional old home in a quiet locality of Alleppey town, walking distance from the canals, the shopping areas and the temples.
You will have the experience of staying with a traditional Syrian Christian family joining in the cooking and dining together with the family for the perfect interaction. Learn about spices, try Keralan cooking and experience the local customs including the wearing of the Indian Sari !!
This traditional Syrian Christian home with it's gardenn view verandahs bring back old world charm . Comfortable en-suite bedrooms offers warm hospitality and excellent food.
Guests have exclusive use of the comfortably furnished sitting room with its beamed ceiling and wooden antique furniture, and guests own private entrance.
Emphasis is on the food which is cooked for you by the lady of the house using fresh local ingredients and home grown produce. Vegetarian meals will be gladly catered . Breakfast features local Keralan breads with its own accompaniments. Freshly caught local sea fish are a speciality.
Motty's home has two bedrooms, one double, and one twin /double, both with en-suite bathrooms, The rooms are well appointed and tastefully decorated .Each has a private entry from seperate verandahs well furnished for the guest to relax.
This bed & breakfast accommodation is within easy reach of the airports, rail station and bus stand.
An ideal holiday location to relax and do tours to places of interest and a backwater cruise on houseboats.
