This Resort at Marayoor is situated 43 kms away from Munnar Main Town, but promisingly has much activities than in Munnar or any places within 150 kms limit through North, South, West and East. Tthis remote place is the only opening to Eco-Tourism, Sandalwood Forest 2 kms, Chinnar Wild Life Sanctuary 16 kms from Marayoor and Indira Gandhi Wild Life Sanctuary 28 kms away from Marayoor, where wild animals could be seen than in any other Wild Life Sanctuary of South india.
There are Crocodile Farms at Amaravathy 35 kms from here with minimum 50 Crocodiles to see here, Rare Fruits such as Apples, Oranges, Grapes etc and Vegetable Plantations of all kinds could be seen at Kanthalloor 16 kms from Marayoor.
Cave Paintings and very old hermitages termed 'Muniyara' could be seen here. Just nearby about 50 small scale Jaggerine manufactures could be found here making jaggerine from Sugar Cane plants. Tribal Villages could be visited from Marayoor and Tribal Dances are provided to those of interest. Lot more activities such as Movie shootings, Trekking through the forest, Waterfalls and Dams could be seen around Marayoor.
Marayoor is opted mainly by the honeymoon couples and business conference-convention groups, family get-together, Anniversaries, Students Tour etc. for its silent atmosphere and scenic beauty compared to that of the thick traffic polluted towns of the Kerala State. This is also almost to the north east border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu States.
